Cashew cultivation starts with planting seeds or grafting them onto rootstocks. The cashew tree yields both apples and valuable nuts, with the nut developing below the cashew apple. Successful cashew cultivation not only depends on suitable climate and soil conditions but also on careful attention to pest control, disease management, and proper harvesting techniques for optimal nut harvest.

During the dry season, workers carefully hand-pick ripe cashew apples, each of which contains a single valuable cashew nut. These nuts are then precisely separated from the apples to avoid any damage.
